OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

1. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY & LOGISTICS

  • Residency: Open strictly to residents of Durban, South Africa.
  • Age: All participants must be 18 years or older by December 4th.
  • Attendance: By registering, you confirm you are available to travel to The Villa Waterfront (Durban) on December 16th at your own cost if you qualify for the Grand Finals.
  • Platform: PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Cross-play must be enabled.
  • Connectivity: Players are responsible for their own internet connection during Online Qualifiers. High latency or disconnections may result in disqualification at the admin’s discretion.
  • Check-In: Players must check in on the official [Discord/Platform] 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Failure to appear results in a forfeit.

⚽ EA SPORTS FC 26 RULES

Format: 1v1

Bracket Style: Single Elimination – Best of 3

Team Restrictions: Standard Clubs or International Teams (No Ultimate Team/custom squads). “Soccer Aid” and “All-Star” teams are banned. both players can use the same team

Match Settings

  • Game Mode: Online Friendlies
  • Half Length: 6 Minutes
  • Controls: Competitive (Manual Defending, no auto-assistance)
  • Game Speed: Normal
  • Squad Type: 95 Overall (Balanced) [Strategic Note: Using “95 Overall” mode ensures fairness regardless of which team is picked, highly recommended for open tournaments] OR Online Squads (Live updates).
  • Difficulty: Legendary (or World Class, depending on lobby default)

Match Resolution

  • Draws: If a match ends in a draw, Classic Extra Time and Penalties will be played to determine a winner.
  • Disconnections:
    • If a disconnect occurs in the first 10 minutes and the score is 0-0, restart the match.
    • If a disconnect occurs later, the match is restarted with the remaining time played out, and the score from the disconnected game is added to the new game.
    • Intentional disconnection results in an immediate ban.

🥊 TEKKEN 8 RULES

Format: 1v1

Bracket Style: Single Elimination

Set Length:

  • Qualifiers: Best of 3 Games (First to 2 wins)
  • Grand Finals: Best of 5 Games (First to 3 wins)

Match Settings

  • Rounds: 3 Rounds per Game
  • Timer: 60 Seconds
  • Stage Select: Random
  • Character Customization: Presets only. Custom costumes that obscure visual hitboxes (e.g., giant items) are banned. “Special Style” (Easy Combo) controls are allowed (standard for open casual/pro mixes), but macro controllers are banned.

The “Winner Locked” Rule

  • Winner: Must keep the same character for the next game in the set.
  • Loser: May switch characters.
  • Stage: In the event of a rematch within a set, the loser may choose to select a new stage (Random) or run it back.

⚖️ CODE OF CONDUCT & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

  • Proof of Result: Winners must take a screenshot/photo of the final score screen. In the event of a dispute, if you cannot provide proof of the win, the match may be voided or awarded to the opponent.
  • Sportsmanship: Any form of hate speech, racial slurs, or excessive toxicity in voice/text chat will result in immediate disqualification and a ban from future Ivyson events.
  • Punctuality: We are running a tight ship. If a player is not in the lobby within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, they forfeit the match.
  • Admin Ruling: The decision of the Ivyson Gaming Tournament Administrator is final.
